Harry Potter Moment of the Week [116]

This is a meme hosted by Uncorked Thoughts and Lunar Rainbows. The idea is to share a favorite moment, magical item, character, spell, quote, object from the books, films or J.K.Rowling herself! Click the links to the blogs to see how to join up &  upcoming topics.

Favorite Common Room? Not necessarily where you'd be sorted or your favorite house but which one do you prefer in  terms of decor and location?

Well my common room and my favorite are one in the same...Ravenclaw Tower. I love that the way to enter is by answering a riddle given by an enchanted door knocker (and that makes me think of Labyrinth and Throne of Glass). It is one of the rooms that Harry got to experience so we got a good description of it. I know that Hufflepuff's would probably be homey and very cozy so it would be a good one and Gryffindor's with the big fire and poof chairs sounds very inviting, but I just love the sound of Ravenclaw's as more of a fit for me...stars!! I really enjoyed it when we get to see it in Lego Harry Potter.

From Harry Potter Wikia:

"The Ravenclaw common room is one of the airiest rooms at Hogwarts. It is a wide, circular room with arched windows hung with blue and bronze silks and a midnight blue carpet covered in stars, which is reflected onto the domed ceiling. During the day, Ravenclaw students have an excellent view of the school grounds, including the lake, Forbidden Forest, Quidditch pitch, Herbology gardens and the surrounding mountains.

The room is furnished with tables, chairs, and bookcases; and by the door leading up to the dormitories stands a tall statue of Rowena Ravenclaw made of white marble. According to Prefect Robert Hilliard, the sound of wind whistling around the windows of the tower is relaxing while going to sleep."

Which would you choose?
